Global Blockchain Challenge

The first day of the congress (November 11th) will be dedicated to the Global Blockchain Challenge, an open innovation initiative to bring together developers, regulators and business people to address several challenges and deliver a solution based on the benefits of blockchain technology within the framework of each of the 17 Sustainable Development Objectives (SDGs).

The teams will be made up of three people, one from a company (which will be a sponsor of the team), one from the world of entrepreneurship and one from the academic world. The team will be multidisciplinary covering three profiles: legal, business development and technological.

Thanks to this cross-disciplinary approach, we hope and expect to have exciting, innovative but also well thought-through and practical solutions that take into account a broad range of conditions and viewpoints, and that are implementable in the short- to mid-term.

The competition will run 10 hours in the Trade Fair and Congress Center of Malaga.

Members of the EU Parliament will be invited as mentors of the participating teams, and they will also be members of the Award Jury along with other experts and personalities from the industry and international institutions.

The winners will be recognised with the StartUp Europe-World Blockchain Awards on the evening of 11 November at a VIP Dinner.
